SOU Art Gallery

The urge to visualize “poetic things” like music, which are invisible to the eye but firmly present in the changing times and the daily flow of time.

For example, the concept of “time,” which progresses from the past to the future, is not displayed as a one-way arrow from the past to the future.

It is “just there” as if it surrounds the surroundings in which it exists.

In my masterpiece

Time to cling” is my masterpiece.

The metallic image of the “concept of time” clings to the seemingly immovable bark.

As we are tossed around by information and the evolution of the Internet, the way we perceive things is becoming more uniform.
We have already been drilled from over our heads with the fundamental education and environment for thinking, so we speak “words” to maintain balance.

I hope that the works produced by “SOU” will trigger “change” in our casual daily lives. With this in mind, I hope to express the world that my inner poesie points to.

SOU Profile

SOU has had a strong desire to “express” myself since I was a teenager, and after many twists in the apparel design and music industry, I designed and built my own interior store in my early 30s.

He intended to focus mainly on interior design sales, but store design became inundated with store design work, and eventually began working as a space designer. He works as a space designer.

Up to now, I’ve designed more than 200 spaces and created them myself.

After turning 50, he decided to say goodbye to expressing himself within his clients’ wishes and budgets.

From designer to artist

Based on the methods and expressions of space design that I have experienced until now, I have come across the joy of freely expressing “poetry” within myself without being bound by anything.

In the future, I plan to hold many solo exhibitions in Japan and overseas.
